How we evaluate AI tools
AI Top Choices helps readers compare AI tools by workflow, features, pricing and limitations. We distinguish vendor facts from our own editorial judgments.
Evidence labels
Researched overview: a review based on linked vendor documentation or other identified sources. A researched overview does not imply that we used the product or measured its performance. The selected reviews updated on 4 October 2026 use this label.
Hands-on test: this label requires an actual recorded test, with date, plan or version, task, inputs, relevant settings and observed results. Comparisons should explain the sample size, scoring method and limitations. We do not present suggested evaluation tasks as completed tests.
Pricing and updates
Where we verify pricing, we identify the currency, billing period, source and check date. Trials, free plans and paid API usage are different offers. Country, tax, promotions and vendor changes can affect checkout prices. Older directory entries may not yet have a dated research update; consult their official links before purchasing.
Recommendations and ratings
Recommendations are editorial judgments about fit for a stated task, unless supported by an identified measurement. We do not assign numerical performance scores to researched overviews without a documented method. We avoid guarantees about search rankings, answer-engine citations or business outcomes.
Sources, corrections and commercial relationships
Readers should be able to trace material product claims to identified sources. We correct inaccurate or outdated claims when verified information is available. Please use our contact page to report a specific page and correction, with supporting evidence. See our affiliate disclosure for commercial relationship information.
